Hey everyone!
Today we left the Marriott and shuttled to the airport. The shuttle ride was about forty five minutes long and soon we were checking in for the flights. While the kids got all of the sugar out of their systems the parents got their seats. As the planes touched down we said our goodbyes and watched the twelve other "clan members" as mom likes to call them boarded their flight bound for Houston with a connection to Vancouver. We then boarded our flight, dodging randrops, bound for Miami with a connection to Cancun.
We ended up arriving at the hotel and crashed.
In the morning I awoke to Melmon, that giraffe from the movie Madagascar staring me in the face which was kinda freaky but it did wake me up. Since then we have fallen into a routine of sleeping in, eating, drinking (non alcoholic of course), sun tanning, drinking, eating, drinking, sun tanning, eating, drinking, sleeping.... you get the idea. Anyway I am trying to get someone to go swimming with me while mom contemplates on whether to get a tattoo (not permanent) and if so what it would say. Any ideas?

Costa Rica day 6
Welcome back to the blog but if your new here you might want to start at the bottom and work your way up before you read this. Just saying. Anyway today is day 6 on this trip.
So we woke up in the morning and Simon and I got to open a Christmas present! I got a Sony Reader and Simon got an iPod Touch. Then we all met up again for some breakfast and checked out. After that we drove to a small airstrip and waited in some hammocks (Why do they have them everywhere anyway?) till the planes arrived. We had to part ways with the guides there so we said our goodbyes and then we boarded our plane and they boarded theirs. The plane ride was about an hour long but soon we were being shuttled over to the next location.
The hotel was huge! We were staying at the JW Marriott a hotel just on the coast with a great view, luxurious rooms, a LOT of hammocks and a huge pool with very inconvenient walkways.
We have been here for four days and will be leaving tomorrow but so far we have been relaxing, swimming, stuffing our selves with food and I'm pretty sure all of us together have had something like 30 chocolate milkshakes. We also took pictures with Santa while we were here and he gave us huge amounts of candy.
I will talk to you all soon bye!

Costa Rica day 4
Today was day 4 out of twelve (I think I might be counting wrong though...). Ok, so today we had to leave the beautiful tree canopy and the fastest way out was rafting. So we split into three different boats, suited up, grabbed a paddle and went down to the river. We had a lot of fun my mom (Karen), Linda, Brent and Johnny all fell off into the rapids, well except for uncle Brent who fell off in calm water, apparently. Our group (mom, dad, Simon, Elle, the guide, Emily and I) loved the rapids and my parents had a taste for danger so we took the rougher routes, we even went right over a giant rock that stuck right out of the water known as "Grandma's Revenge". Though in the calmer water we got to go swimming. Emily was very nice she was good with kids so we had a lot of fun with her (she ended up starting water fights among ourselves and the other boats!).
Eventually we had to leave and found out we got to go back to the zip-lining hotel for lunch (but we didn't get to zip-line). After lunch we walked to the airport and took a 30 minute trip to our next destination which being me I have gone and forgotten the name. From the airport we drove and hour to our bikes, biked for about half an hour (my parents kept going on bike for 26km) and then drove the rest of the way when they found out that it was all uphill an I mean a lot of uphill!!! We are going to be staying at this hotel for two days and it's extremely beautiful and huge.
(You need to take a 30minute bus just to drive around the property!) Anyway I just finished dinner and am sitting in bed about to go to sleep so well goodnight! =)

Costa Rica day 3
After lunch we could either hike to the hotel or drive and since I was feeling pretty
rotten I rode with a few other.
After we showered we lost the smell and went down to dinner. Then we ended up playing monopoly on my phone all through the meal and into dessert (dessert was good but we didn't realize till after that we had no idea what we had just ate). Bye!
Here is a picture of the sunset from the hotel.
Costa Rica day 2
Day 2! Ok so today we woke up to a downpour. we went down to breakfast (I was late) and then took the shuttle to the Rainmaker Rain Forest were we trekked around looking at animals, bugs,
lizards like the "Oh my gosh lizard" (actually its name), iguanas,
another lizard that I forgot the name of
and plants endangered and not (we got to eat a few and one tasted like mango).
Since it had rained resently the terrain was mudding and slippery so we all got walking sticks.
